writing of the momenthaiga

The following haiga is a collaboration between Rise Daniels (poem) and Bettina Rickenbach (artwork) published in Frameless Sky Issue 16  in June 2022 dedicated to the people of Ukraine. This issue is a powerful collection of poems and art on that theme.  Please go to Frameless Sky to get a “sneak peak” of the issue, then subscribe to Frameless Sky to see the entire issue.  You will not be disappointed! Many thanks to Christine L. Villa, editor and multitalented artist, for this inclusion.

  1. Rise,
Love the Buddha photo and the goldfinch haiku! I have recently been getting into Shinto influences for gardening and spirituality. When I create my garden in the spring, could you write a haiku for it? I’ll put it in the garden. Miss you!

    1. thank you Christina! In the depths of winter, let’s talk about the type of haiku you’re looking for.
      Risë
